The cliche question all authors hate:
"Where do you get your ideas?"
The idea is the easy part. The idea is so easy to get, you can't give them away. I'm here to give them away, to share them, and invite you to recognize yours. We're all creative. Not all of us pay attention.

A Good Day
Yesterday I did not blog.
I did, however, submit a manuscript to a publisher, dust, sweep, start a blouse, do some much-needed file organization for my game, and make my cats purr.
And then Friday, after some frustrating market research, I spent most of the rest of the day putting a collar on! I'm still not quite finished, either - the front interfacing has been pinned, for about the third time, but I was too tired to baste it on, much less stitch it. It's been long enough since I did this that I had to go through the whole process of working out how the pattern instructions translate into three-D (this is absurdly difficult for me) from scratch. I think it took me two hours just to get the collar and neck band pinned together. You see why I keep reminding myself that it's okay to move slowly.
Good for you, Peni!

ReplyDeleteBut the stripes match perfectly at the shoulders.
